The Matunggong Film ​Artists Association , also ​known as Persatuan Pengiat ​Seni Filem Matunggong, is a ​local organization that ​focuses on promoting and ​supporting the arts, ​particularly film, within the ​Matunggong community . ​This association likely works ​to foster local talent, provide ​resources and opportunities ​for filmmakers, and promote ​cultural heritage through ​cinema

The goals of the Matunggong Film ​Art Association (MFAA) include:

1. Raise awareness to film artists from the Rungus ​community so that they appreciate the art of film ​in Matunggong and the surrounding area.

2. Encourage the development of local talents ​from the Rungus community in the film and ​entertainment industry including directing, ​actors, script writers, etc.

3. Creating opportunities to express creativity ​through the medium of film.

4. Expanding networks and relationships with other ​film art communities, collaborating in the film ​industry at the State, national and international ​levels.

5. Increase the level of productivity of films ​produced in Matunggong by ensuring the quality ​and image of Sabah is seen through the diversity of ​unique films with interesting content offered to ​viewers within the Rungus community itself and ​outside the territory of other groups.

6. BIRTH BY NURTURING THE SPIRIT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP ​AMONG BOTH OLD FILM ARTISTS AND THE YOUNG ​GENERATION: BY PROVIDING A PLATFORM SUCH AS ​EDUCATION, CREATIVITY TRAINING TO INNOVATE THROUGH ​FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND THE GLOBAL MARKET SO THAT ​THEIR ARTWORK PRODUCTS ARE QUALITY, HIGH QUALITY ​AND WIDELY EXPANDED TO THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL.
